FAQ’S

  1. 1)How much do you charge fro your tattoo work?

I Henry Hate charge £120 per hour for a tattoo.  The work I do is based primarily on sessions and pieces, rather than hourly.  But for one hour it is £120.00 British Sterling. I prefer to charge by the piece rather than an hourly rate. This does not pertain to the other guys in the shop as they work on a different scale than me.  I I take a £50.00 deposit for all artwork. This takes me about two weeks to three weeks to come up with a design for your approval.  All work is based on size placement and detail.  More than anything I am willing to work with you and your budget.  All deposits are NON REFUNDABLE.  The Shop does accept walk-Ins, But please call for availability and times. This does not pertain to Henry Hate

  1. 2)How soon can I get an appointment with you?

If you choose to book an appointment with me I normally book things with in three weeks to 45 days.  I don’t book anything past the 45 day mark.  As if you get sick or life gets in the way it is easy for us both to reconvene at another time.  Weekends book fastest though so please call me or email me for dates and times

ASAP.  Should you miss your appointment you will loose your deposit.  A 24 notice is asked if you cancel your appointment  If you are more than 25 minutes late you might loose your appointment and will have to reschedule.

  1. 3)I am 17 and would like to get a tattoo, can I bring my parent or can my kid get a tattoo?

It is against the law for any tattooist to tattoo a minor under the age of 18. regardless of parental consent.

So you and your kid will be sorely disappointed and met with a short and kurt NO!  If you are lucky enough to look young enough in todays stressing times, it might be a good idea to bring some sort of ID, passport, Drivers License, etc. etc.

  1. 4)Do you do white Ink tattoos or Ultra Violet tattoos?

We do white ink tattoos, yes.  However Ultra Violet is in theory a cool idea, but in practicality not a very good idea.  How often do you plan on carrying a black light around with you.

  1. 5)Can I bring in a design of my own or can you redraw what I have for me?

We thinks it’s much better to bring in any type of visual reference to help us give you a tattoo that will make you happy, and love.  So by all means do so.  We can work off a drawing you have, your communication with us helps. After all we are here to serve your.  But keep in mind what transfers on paper doesn’t always look great on skin.  Why, cause your a living breathing organism and you will age.  Some designs just don’t translate well into tattoos if they are small and highly detailed.

  1. 6)Does it hurt?

This is different for every one.  But believe it or not, you actually numb out to the sensation after the first 25 minutes.  Of course some areas are not as forgiving as others, so this can vary.  We try and make a relaxed environment for you.  If it helps, bring a can of Coke or 7Up, some form of sugar like a Snicker’s Bar or candy also. Make sure you do not come in on an empty stomach.

  1. 7)What are the risks involved?

We use single use packed needles on every person in the shop, all disposable sundries are disposed of into a clinical waste bin.  Aftercare products are for sale in the shop You are given a care sheet and instructed on how to look after your tattoo or piercing.  You essentially have an open wound that is fresh and not healed.

Common sense is the key.  Practical good hygiene and following the instructions provided by us will further give you the desired result you want.  If you are pregnant, on heart medication or some form of radiology treatment, we would not be able to see you, until you are given the all clear from your doctor or Gp. All Customers are given a aftercare sheet on the tattoo or piercing.
